About
This is a fanlisting dedicated to the relationship FFX's Jecht and Auron. If you're not too certain what a fanlisting is, here's the official definition: a fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular something to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject. And that's what this is with the something being the relationship between Jecht and Auron...

Jecht
In Final Fantasy X, Jecht is the star player of the Zanarkand Abes who gets sucked into Spira through the mysterious workings of a monster called Sin. Once there, he aids a summoner named Braska by becoming his guard on a pilgrimage to defeat said monster along with Auron, Braska's first guardian. Along the way Jecht changes from someone brash and selfish into someone who is willing to sacrifice himself for the greater. This change and his adventures in Spira set the stage for the events which bring his son, Tidus, into the same world ten years later.

Auron
A former warrior monk of the Yevon religion, Auron was Braska's original guard who was against Jecht joining them on their journey. Formal and pious, Auron was at first at odds with his fellow guard, Jecht, but the trio eventually became very close to one another. Over the ten years he ages during the course of both Jecht's and Tidus's two journeys through Spira, Auron also changes, losing his idealism and faith as he learns the truth and then fights to defeat it.

The Relationship
Whether you see this relationship as a romantic one or simply the strongest bond of friendship ever forged, there is no denying that it was something beautiful and admirable. In fact, it was strong enough to overcome a great many obstacles, including death. In simple terms, Jecht died so that Auron could live while Auron rose from the grave in order to keep the promises he'd made to Jecht, spending ten years of his existence watching over Tidus before bringing him to Spira. While never expressively stated, many fans -- including myself -- choose to interpret this as more than simply a friendship, but as a deeper love and devotion between two extraordinary souls separated by Spira's spiral of death, but strong enough to defy the illusion and shackles of Yevon. Created in strife and solidified in grief, it outlasted both and emerged into the Calm unscathed.

Infinite Possibilities
The name of this fanlisting comes from some of the dialogue in the JP version of Final Fantasy X, where Jecht tells Auron that he can do anything because he believes in infinite possibilities. I don't think anything else quite so summarizes their connection than that scene and those words.
