Completely irreverent? Yes. Cliche and Overused? Of course! What do you get when you take one over-used cliche and combine it with another? You get, WWJD - What would Jecht do? - a strange little support clique supporting none other than that paragon of virtue, Jecht from FFX! This is supposed to be light-hearted and fun, so I hope no one will be upset by my use of the "WWJD" in this clique; in fact, Jecht is a good role-model in many ways. Or it could have to do with the fact that I really liked Jesus Christ Superstar. Oh well. Read on for more information.
A GOOD ROLE MODEL ??
Yes, he is. Not only does Jecht sacrifice himself for the good of Spira *twice,* he shows that people can change and do good things no matter how horrible they've been in the past. He really is a good guy, beneath the surface. Plus, if you're into the whole literature-analysis stuff (which I am) you'll notice that there's quite alot of Christ imagery tied up in old Jecht, so the name fits quite nicely. Not to mention that Jecht's pretty damned hot, in a rough-and-tumble, I-don't-brush-my-hair way. There are a lot of things to like about Jecht, and if you're one of the few and the proud who realize that, grab the banner and join the club.
